CoffeeHouse by Chef'n was added to Chef'n as a more premium subbrand. To capture the more premium feel, the photography was shot on a marble surface, and to follow Chef'n design systems, the packaging uses a lighter weight of Gotham, shows the product in use, and features the logo in the upper left corner. Additionally, only minimal color was incorporated and icons were used to show how to use the product in order to decrease the number of photos on the packaging.
Simple icons were used to elevate the directions on the packaging. These were also used on sales collateral to reduce the need for photographs and highlight the simple forms of the products.
Gotham was used to tie it back to other Chef'n packaging. By varying the weights and letter spacing I was able to achieve a more premium look.
Tradeshow booths for CoffeeHouse were designed to showcase that products made coffee shop-level quality coffee, but with the accessibility of having them in your home. To achieve this I emulated the feel of a modern coffee shop-bright, with lots of white, with familiar decor. The twist, however, was to have all elements drawn on the walls, using black and white graphics.
In 2018 this booth was awarded the Best First Year Exhibitor Booth at the Specialty Coffee Expo.
